The secret to a successful airbrush tan lies in skin preparation before the session and maintaining the results afterward.

Before the Session
- Exfoliate 2 to 4 times before your session.
- Exfoliation is essential to remove dead skin cells and ensure an even result. Using a scrub and an exfoliating mitt will help eliminate dead skin and impurities. Pay special attention to drier, rougher areas like the tops of feet, heels, ankles, elbows, knees, knuckles, etc.
- Shave, wax, and exfoliate at least 24 hours before the appointment.
- The skin’s amino acids need time to rebuild, and pores need to close before application.
- Hydrate your skin in the days leading up to the session, but not on the day of the appointment.
- If a shower is necessary before the appointment, take it 3 hours prior, using only lukewarm water.
- Avoid lotions, hair removal creams, oil-based exfoliants, shaving gels, or creams. These may leave residues that prevent the tanning solution from developing properly.
- Ensure there are no remnants of previous airbrush or self-tanner on your skin.
- Do not wear makeup, creams, sunscreen, deodorant, or perfume.
- Manicures, pedicures, massages, and facials should be done in the days before your appointment.
- Make sure there are no sweat traces on your skin during the application.
- The application can be done with or without underwear or swimwear.
- Wear loose, dark clothing after the session.
In summary, the skin must be clean, dry, and exfoliated before the session.
